Behind Mahé
Annabelle Giselle
Founder and Creative Director Annabelle founded Mahé as a tribute to her Seychellois heritage. Being half Seychellois, she grew up connected to the warmth, rhythm and natural beauty of island life, an atmosphere she longed to share beyond its shores.
Mahé was created to give people a sense of paradise within their own homes - a way to experience the calm, softness and quiet luxury of the Seychelles, even when they cannot be there.
Having previously worked within high-end luxury environments including Harrods, Ralph Lauren and Jimmy Choo, Annabelle developed a refined understanding of craftsmanship, presentation and elevated customer experience. These principles now shape every Mahé creation.
She designs and hand pours each candle and diffuser with an uncompromising focus on balance, atmosphere and understated elegance, believing that true luxury should feel personal, calm and quietly indulgent.
Stuart Duvall
Managing Director, Operations Stuart oversees the strategic direction and operational leadership of Mahé, ensuring the brand grows with structure, clarity and long-term intention. While Annabelle remains the creative heart of Mahé, Stuart focuses on strengthening its foundations and guiding its evolution.
A dedicated fragrance collector with a carefully curated personal scent collection, Stuart has long believed that scent is the most powerful of the senses, capable of returning you to a forgotten memory.
He was the creator behind the seasonal fragrance La Digue, shaping a scent that balances subtle tropical notes with a marine depth, capturing the feeling of standing on a beach in the Seychelles, breathing in the sea air and pausing to reflect.
Stuart is currently shaping Mahé Reserve, a private, invitation only space reserved for Mahé’s most loyal customers. Dedicated to limited run candles crafted in smaller quantities at the highest level of luxury, it marks an exciting and elevated new chapter for the brand.
