Our Story
Mahé was founded by Annabelle Giselle in search of something missing from the luxury candle market a beautifully scented candle with a longer lasting burn and a naturally fresh fragrance, without compromise.
After months of research, Annabelle found the answer by combining two things she has always loved her Seychelles heritage and the art of luxury candle making.
The name Mahé comes from one of the largest islands in the Seychelles and the birthplace of Annabelle’s father, making every candle a quiet tribute to home, memory, and natural beauty.
We are proud to relaunch Mahé as a luxury, eco-conscious fragrance brand, with renewed purpose and excitement. Each scent is developed over time, carefully refined to transport you to a place of peace and serenity, evoking the calm and escapism of a holiday in the Seychelles.
Each Mahé candle is handcrafted in the UK by a small team using 100% natural soy wax. All products are vegan, cruelty free, and created with sustainability at their core.

This candle was created with my very first experience of the Seychelles in mind
The sweet coconut water enjoyed on the beach, the beautiful flowers scattered across the island and the unforgettable moment of arriving at our hotel to find fresh vanilla pods waiting on my bed. The warm scent of the wooden huts we stayed in still stays with me. A fragrance that captures a moment, a place, and a memory I'll always hold close...
Inspired by the beautiful Beau Vallon Beach, this scent captures the feeling of warm sand, soft ocean air, and golden light on your skin. Bright citrus notes of bergamot, grapefruit, and bitter orange open the fragrance with a fresh, uplifting glow, melting into a delicate floral heart of rose, jasmine, white blossoms, and juicy peach.
As it settles, a comforting base of cedarwood, soft musk, and creamy tonka bean creates a smooth, lasting warmth, like the gentle breeze of a tropical evening.

Where it all began.
Inspired by the iconic Coco de Mer palm native to the Seychelles, this diffuser brings the signature scent of Mahé into any space with graceful permanence. Since 2019, Coco de Mer has been our most-loved fragrance - a warm, tropical expression of sunlit afternoons and island abundance.
The fragrance opens with fresh pineapple and juicy orange, echoing the vibrant brightness of island fruit. At its heart, creamy coconut lends depth and softness, before settling into a plush base of almond and peach. The result is a smooth, enveloping scent that lingers delicately in the air - calm, inviting, and unmistakably island-born.
Handcrafted and thoughtfully composed, the Coco de Mer Diffuser extends the candle’s signature warmth into the home, creating an enduring atmosphere rooted in Seychelles heritage.
