Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 14th February 2026

Welcome to Mahé. These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through our website and govern your use of our site and services.

By placing an order with Mahé Ltd., you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Mahé Ltd. is a company registered in the United Kingdom.
All references to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Mahé Ltd.

2. Products

All Mahé candles and home fragrance products are produced in small batches.

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, minor variations in colour, finish, wax surface, or fragrance strength may occur. Such variations are not considered defects.

Candles and home fragrance products must be used responsibly and in accordance with the safety instructions provided.

3. Orders & Payments

All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.

We accept major debit and credit cards, digital wallets, and approved “buy now, pay later” providers (including Clearpay and Klarna) via our secure payment processor.

Where customers choose to pay using a third-party finance provider (such as Clearpay or Klarna), the transaction is subject to that provider’s own terms and conditions.

Payment is taken at the time of order confirmation.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including where:

  • Payment cannot be authorised

  • A pricing or product information error has occurred

  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity is suspected

If an order is cancelled after payment has been taken, a full refund will be issued.

4. Processing & Dispatch

Orders are processed within 2 working days unless otherwise stated.

Standard UK delivery typically takes 2–3 working days from dispatch.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Mahé Ltd. is not responsible for delays caused by postal services, courier providers, or customs processes.

Dispatch times quoted apply to UK orders only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. International Shipping

We currently offer international shipping by request only.

Customers wishing to place an order for delivery outside the United Kingdom must contact us in advance via our online enquiry form. We will confirm availability, shipping costs, estimated delivery timeframes, and any applicable regulatory requirements prior to processing the order.

Certain destinations may require additional regulatory labelling, documentation, or product adjustments to comply with local laws. Where applicable, dispatch times may be extended by up to 7 working days, excluding transit time.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Any customs duties

  • Import VAT or taxes

  • Local handling or clearance fees

These charges are determined by the destination country and are not included in product or shipping prices.

Mahé Ltd. does not accept responsibility for customs delays, clearance issues, or additional import charges.

We recommend checking local import regulations prior to placing an international order.

6. Returns & Refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel eligible items within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, unlit, and unopened

  • Returned in original packaging

  • In resaleable condition

For hygiene and safety reasons, used or lit candles cannot be returned.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or damaged on arrival.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

7. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs. We will assess the issue and offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mahé Ltd. shall not be liable for:

  • Improper use of our products

  • Failure to follow safety instructions

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer, nor excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, imagery, branding, product descriptions, and design, is the property of Mahé Ltd. and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

10. Charitable Contribution

Mahé Ltd. intends to allocate the equivalent of £0.50 from each completed sale, calculated monthly, to a selected charitable cause.

Donations are made at our discretion and may be amended, paused, or redirected where necessary.

Details of supported causes and total amounts allocated may be shared via our website or social media channels.

The charitable contribution forms part of Mahé Ltd.’s business operations and does not constitute a direct donation made by the customer.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
